Roofing Safety Compliance

Roofing Contractors

Working at heights is common for roofers; and so are the dangers associated with that practice. According to OSHA, the number one citation amongst roofers was failure to provide fall protection. CCI would be happy to assist your company with proper safety training in fall prevention, scaffold safety and ladder safety. We can also provide inspections of scaffolding and ladders at the jobsite to ensure you're meeting proper guardrail and height requirements.

Foremen need to be aware of many other safety issues as well, such as pedestrian safety, PPE, storage of compressed gas cylinders, and proper tool safety, including electric and pneumatic tools. Possible hazards include skylights, roof openings, kettle operations, torch applied roofing, etc. CCI will perform Onsite Safety Inspections to inform you of specific hazards that need to be addressed. A Toolbox Safety Training Manual made specifically for the roofing industry would be a valuable asset to your company and your workers. Weekly toolbox talks make safety an ongoing conversation. Workers are made aware of practices that could keep themselves and others safe on the jobsite.
